Buz Grossberg knows his barbecue. The owner and founder of the Richmond institution “Buz & Ned’s Real Barbecue” is very particular about the way he cooks his meat. He’s also turned to Atlantic Union Bank when his business needed a hand. Fact is, Buz & Ned’s Real Barbecue has been banking with us for years.
We’ve been a proud supporter of local businesses like them for over a century. Buz talks barbecue and his relationship with us in an excerpt from “Made in Virginia,” the Atlantic Union Bank sponsored PBS series.
Hi, I'm Buz Grossburg. This is my place – Buz & Ned's Real Barbecue in Richmond, Virginia.
Real Barbecue to me is actually U.S.D.A. definition. Which is meat...cooked exclusively with wood or charcoal derived from wood, coals derived from wood, as the exclusive heat and smoke source. So you can't use steam and you can't use electricity, and you can't use gas or any other means to create heat.
Now Atlantic Union Bank has been very good to us. And I would do it all over again. In fact we just renewed our loan with Atlantic Union Bank and I didn't even bother to shop it. Because they've been very fair with their rates. And they don't bother me. They let me do my business. I think that's a sign of trust in me. In any event, I would do business with them all over again.
