FAQs for Card Controls

Take controls on your own terms.

The Card Controls screen will display all active consumer debit cards associated with the account. All cards can be identified by the last 4 digits of the card.

The default card nickname will be display next to each card.  The nickname can be edited by clicking on theCard Controlsicon.

Active debit cards can be turned ON/OFF in real time by using the toggle button under ‘Card Status’.

Note: Turning off cards will not block reoccurring debit card payments.

The Location Type screen provides the option to block and set alerts for international transactions.

Note: When switching any transaction type to ‘Decline,’ the Alert for that type will automatically turn ON. Customers will always receive an Alert if a Decline is turned ON.

Travel notifications cannot be submitted via Card Controls at this time. Please contact us at 800-990-4828 before you travel, to help reduce your Debit Card activity being mistaken as fraudulent.

The Spend Limits screen allows customers to decline the transaction if it’s greater than the amount they specify, OR send an alert if the amount is greater than the amount specified.

Alerts for Spend Limits

The Alerts Delivery Options screen allows customers to manage Alerts by clicking on Alert Delivery Options. Email, SMS (text), and Push Notifications are all supported for Alerts.

It may take up to 2 business days for debit cards to appear in Card Controls after activating.

Card Controls is only available for Consumer debit cards. Business debit cards and ATM cards are not included.
Alerts are only sent for monetary transactions. Turning the debit card ON/OFF will not generate an alert.
There has to be at least one online banking Push Notification alert setup before you can receive one for Card Controls.
