Matt Linderman

Bio

I have been passionate about technology for many years, with a deep commitment to leveraging it to solve business challenges and create a meaningful impact for customers. Originally from Pennsylvania, I relocated to Virginia for college and have made it my home since 1999.

My career began in electrical engineering, but I quickly transitioned into technology in the banking industry. I spent the largest portion of my career at Capital One in Richmond, VA, where I held various leadership roles in technology. Following my time there, I joined CarMax in a key role overseeing technology transformation efforts. I then returned to financial services as Chief Technology Officer at PNC Bank. It was a few years into that role where I realized my real passion was around leading in a smaller organization.

That passion led me to Atlantic Union Bank, where I currently serve as Chief Information Officer. Here, I have the privilege of driving technological transformation and modernization. In addition to my role at Atlantic Union Bank, I am also deeply committed to supporting veterans through my work as Treasurer of Tech for Troops, a nonprofit based in Richmond, VA.

I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Military Institute and served in the Army National Guard during my studies. Outside of work, my focus is on my family—my wife and four children—and supporting them in whatever they need to be successful.
